Classes run Monday - Saturday on a drop-in basis in the Main Studio. Participants can register online or in person at the studio. Northeast Arts can accept credit card, cash, check or Venmo.

Monday 10am - Emily Entingh

Intermediate - Ballet for teens and adults who are familiar with most ballet vocabulary and are looking for an open class to continue to strengthen, practice and develop their technique and artistry. While teachers assume participants are familiar with the elements of a classical ballet class, this level provides more time for fine-tuning body placement and practicing correct execution of the steps with combinations that place solid emphasis on the steps that make up the foundation of center work.

Tuesday 10:30am - Gianni Di Marco

Intermediate/Advanced - Ballet for teens and adults who are familiar with most or all ballet vocabulary and are looking for an open class to continue to strengthen, practice and develop their technique and artistry. Teachers assume participants are familiar with most or all elements of a classical ballet class, however they also are open to modification of exercises to suit participants’ needs. One hour and thirty minutes.

Wednesday 9:00am - Ken Pierce

Beginners - These classes are designed for adults who have completed an Absolute Beginners session at Northeast Arts or elsewhere. Teachers assume students are familiar with the full barre sequence at the basic level. Classes focus on adding port de bras to barre work, introducing the sequence of exercises that make up center work, and adding a range of two-foot to two-foot jumps. Teachers emphasize correct body placement and proper execution of ballet steps. This class is available as an 8-week session or a study group drop-in for students who have completed an Absolute Beginners Session at Northeast Arts, Boston Ballet or Brookline Ballet. Wednesday 10:15am - Ken Pierce

Elementary - Ballet for teens and adults who are looking to add to their basic knowledge or work on cleaning up vocabulary they are already familiar with. Teachers focus on attention to placement, connections between elements, positions of the head, arms and upper body as well as musicality and opportunity for repetition. One hour and fifteen minutes.

Thursday, Friday & saturday 10am - Avery Saulnier de reyes

Intermediate/Advanced - Ballet for teens and adults who are familiar with most or all ballet vocabulary and are looking for an open class to continue to strengthen, practice and develop their technique and artistry. Teachers assume participants are familiar with most or all elements of a classical ballet class, however they also are open to modification of exercises to suit participants’ needs. One hour and thirty minutes.

Friday 11:30am - Avery Saulnier de reyes

Pointe Work for Adult Learners - a great way to develop additional length and strength for ballet or to re-introduce yourself to pointe work after time away. This class focuses on barre exercises to strengthen placement, feet and calf muscles. Each half-hour class has a seated exercise component, and work in parallel and turnout at the barre. Thirty minutes.

Northeast Arts Master Classes are open to teens and adults who are looking to continue to strengthen, practice and develop their technique and artistry while observing and learning from experts! Participants can take advantage of these special opportunities to engage with current and past ballet stars in a setting that is geared towards the interest and experiences of adult learners. Intermediate/advanced level. One hour and forty-five minutes.

Our Winter/Spring Series includes classes by Louise Hautefeuille, and Chyrstyn Fentroy.
