FAQ’s & Studio policies

  • What should I bring?

Bring a water bottle, and whatever other items you usually need for dance class. Teachers, studio staff or other instructors may ask a participant to leave if they deem the participant’s equipment or lack thereof poses a danger to the participant, other participants, instructors or the studio’s materials, including the floor.

  • What should I wear?

You can wear anything that is comfortable, makes you happy and allows for movement. Leggings and a T-shirt work, just as traditional dance attire does. For ballet classes, ballet slippers are recommended. Please bring extra warm-ups in the winter, as the studio can be chilly early in the day. Hard soled dance shoes and street shoes are not allowed in the studio.

  • Can I leave my stuff there?

There is a dressing room for everyone to use and leave coats or jackets. You can leave your belongings there or bring them into the studio. We recommend bringing valuables into the studio with you. There are no lockers available for rent.

  • What's a Class Card?

A 10-Class Card can be used for 10 open ballet or somatic classes. It’s helpful for those who take open classes on a regular basis because you have lower rate per class and you can reschedule if you need to miss a class without losing your registration fee. Class cards are non-transferable and must be used within the listed time period on your purchase.

  • Can I get a refund or credit if I miss class?

Northeast Arts has no refund policy. All sales are final. In the unlikely event that a program, class or workshop is cancelled by Northeast Arts, refunds or credit will be provided. Late-cancellations or no-shows will not result in refunds or credits.

  • Can I book class for someone else?

Participants must book classes, workshops and programs online for themselves and only themselves or their minor children. If you would like to purchase a class or program for someone else, please do so via a gift certificate.

  • Can I sign up last minute or just drop-in?

You can drop-in and register for class using cash, card or Venmo if you prefer. In-person registration is limited to the single class rates. For class card and other discounts, please register via our website.

  • Waiver and Liability Release

Each participant must sign a waiver and liability release for each class or program in which they participate. A downloadable copy can be found below.
