2024 program

A week of intensive workshops in Baroque dance (European ballroom and theatrical dance of the late 17th and early 18th centuries) taught by expert instructor Ken Pierce. Classes in technique, repertoire, and dance notation, with opportunities for independent projects.

This year’s intensive workshops will focus on pastoral dances by Pécour.

The workshop will be offered in hybrid format: students may either attend in person or join online via Zoom.

Teachers & classes

  • Warmup, basic steps, and practice step sequences.

  • Movement sessions devoted to learning material from dance notations.

  • Topics in the study of Beauchamps-Feuillet notation.

  • Optional ballet open class taught by Northeast Arts faculty.

$18 per class, in-person only
