Jane (McNamara) Bieber loves dance and has a long history with ballet performing in the Boston Ballet’s Nutcracker in the early 70’s, and in the corps of the Richmond Ballet for a couple of seasons in the late 70’s. Over the years she’s taken classes with E Virginia Williams, Sydney Leonard, Sam Kurkjian, José Mateo, Tony Williams, and various others, including several instructors at Boston Ballet in recent years. Her most recent, and perhaps most joyful, dance adventure has been with Carlos Molina and Érica Cornejo as an adult student at Integrarte.
As a physical therapist, her approach is a combination of exercise and manual therapy, focused on myofascial release and total body balancing. Her work life has included 9 years teaching undergraduate biological sciences, and 36 years as a practicing PT, including 21 years in solo private practice. She holds a BA in biology, an MS in human anatomy/human genetics, and an MSPT in physical therapy.
Jane has recently retired from regular office hours, but is maintaining active credentials in order to assist the dance population and others on an as needed basis.
