Carrie Walsh was born on the British Island of Jersey in the Channel Islands and trained the Royal Ballet School of London Covent Garden. As a student at the school Carrie worked with both the Royal Ballet of London and the Birmingham Royal Ballet.

During her years at Royal, Carrie was awarded 1st prize in the Lynn Seymour Competition for Expression and Artistry and 2nd Prize in the Ursula Moreton Choreographic Competition.

Following her Graduation from RBS Carrie joined Ballett Dortmund in Germany before being offered a position with the Royal Danish Summer Ballet (Tivoli Theatre) and the Royal Danish Ballet in Copenhagen. She was invited to join Angel Corella’s new company in Spain in 2008 and left Denmark to become a founding member of Corella Ballet. After two years with Angel’s company Carrie joined Ballet de L’Opera de Bordeaux under the direction of Charles Jude before returning to Scandinavia to join the Norwegian National Ballet in Oslo Norway.

Carrie graduated Magna Cum Laude from Columbia University in 2016 and graduated from Thomas Jefferson Medical Collage in Philadelphia in 2020. She is now an Emergency Medicine Resident at Harvard’s Massachusetts General Hospital and the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.

Carrie teaches a Swan Lake inspired class on February 15 at Northeast Arts with accompanist Simone Mead.
