about the workshop:

Northeast Arts is thrilled to welcome Elena Martins for a special jazz workshop. Elena Martins' class is geared towards the intermediate/advanced dancer. Class features a full body warm up focused on technique and strength training. The remainder of class is dedicated towards moving through space with fun yet challenging exercises across the floor, leading into phrase work. The choreography is driven by music rather than counts, allowing dancers to explore musicality, syncopation, and dynamic shifts. Elena’s style is a smooth, flowing, expansive, rhythmic, and groovy mix of contemporary, jazz, and ballet. Students will enjoy a complete and enriching personal and collective dance experience.

Join us for this unique opportunity to learn and enjoy dance together.
